Brand Identity Redesign | Visual Branding Project

Overview

This project focused on redesigning the brand identity for Malek’s Bakery, a local business in need of a more modern yet approachable visual presence. The goal was to create a cohesive system that reflected the bakery’s warmth and tradition while appealing to a broader audience.

Problem

Malek’s Bakery lacked a unified and contemporary brand identity. The existing visuals did not fully communicate:

  • The bakery’s warmth and sense of tradition

  • A clear, recognizable brand personality

  • Visual consistency across materials

  • A strong presence that could attract new customers

The challenge was to modernize the brand while maintaining its inviting, community-centered feel.

Research & Design Process

I developed a refreshed visual identity through exploration, iteration, and refinement to ensure both aesthetic strength and functional clarity.

  • Brainstormed and sketched multiple logo concepts

  • Explored typography, iconography, and shape variations

  • Created and refined digital drafts in Adobe Illustrator

  • Selected a final logo balancing simplicity and personality

  • Developed supporting brand materials (business card, letterhead, menu)

  • Established consistent hierarchy, layout structure, and color palette

  • Refined designs for readability and real-world usability
